Ah Glen Coe, you never disappoint. This place has always been special for me & i think now for chloe and darren. Its always changing landscape and weather is something that never surprises you, Also the kind of eeriness that can overwhelm you at times...reminiscent of road trips as a kid, i was always in awe of its beauty & since then it always draws me back in.
We found it well suited for chloe and darrens engagment session. They tie the knot at the end of march and i cannot wait, what these two have is something special, and i think the wedding day will not disappoint!
LETS GET WEIRD.
So that is another year gone by in a flash!? Xmas is soon approaching and I have been looking back at this summer wedding with all the feels, the venue, the people & the weather which was fantastic. They tied the knot in the lovely Lochgreen House Hotel in august, I have known Chloe & John for many years so being able to capture them spending this special day with friends and family was a privilege , it was a really fun, chilled day with some good catch ups with some old familiar faces, and I am sure you will all agree Chloe looked stunning!
I suppose it has also given me some time to reflect on the year as a whole, 2015 I picked up a camera and to have done what i have so far is amazing and I am very thankful! also for other photographers that have helped me along the way or that I have worked with! creating your own vision for people is just awesome, 2018 will be about raising the bar even higher and jumping into anything visually that inspires me. I also turn 30?! now that is scary!
Cant wait to get started with new couples and all the different weddings that I have ahead.......to all my 2017 couples you guys have been the best bunch and again thanks for that!
So here it is, a flashback to Chloe & Johns wedding day.... :)
Ever thought of feeling like a kid in sweety shop and being free to roam an awesome old mansion house full of character all to yourself for photos??
This was the one for me, tucked away in Perth, Scotland. Brian and Laura had a very personal small intimate wedding here in September and it was special! Having known Brian for a long time, he actually moved into my neighbourhood in the late 90s, he always had a great taste in music, being a drummer as i am, playing in bands i remember at a young age seeing rage against the machine printed on his hoodies with long hair down his back! amazing how things turn out further down the line where i shoot the wedding for himself and the lovely Laura!
Full day was very relaxed, informal and chilled. Something that i think was totally suited for them both, the choice of venue and even the small touches were lovely, good catching up with all the family too! This one i wont forget in a hurry! here is the story below.....
ORKNEY WEDDING STORY
- Sara & Will -
This wedding was special. I will just let the images reflect the kind of connection these two humans have together. Orkney is such a magical place and having the opportunity to document this story for these two lovely people was so amazing & inspiring. If you ever get the chance to visit be prepared to party cos Orcadians LOVE a good dram and a dance......oh, and maybe its the first time an American bride has experienced a good ole traditional scottish blackening!?
The night before....
The next day.........
